Job Description

Immediate requirement to on-board a Backup/Recovery Administrator with minimum of 2 years using EMC Networker. 

Our Client has recently established a new Technology Innovation, Development & Operations Centre in Limerick to provide an extensive range of IT services to its global footprint.  They have 200k+ employees across nearly 400 facilities touching six continents and 23 time zones and are consistently among the World’s largest in their sector.  They are a leader in cutting edge technologies & have undertaken a massive insourcing initiative to bring substantial IT services back in-house and are investing heavily in the latest technologies giving rise to a number of outstanding opportunities for passionate professionals to join their growing team in the Limerick Centre of Excellence.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

·         Client Server Backup / Recovery experience

·         EMC Networker – This is a Mandatory Requirement

·         Unix/linux shell scripting, Windows powershell scripting

·         Backup hardware (VTL, Applicance, Tape)

·         Server administration: Windows, Linux, Unix

 

Desirable Skills:

 

·         Avamar, TSM, BackupExec, Commvault -  configuration and management,

·         EMC Networker Integration with Data Domain (Boost/CIFS)

·         EMC Networker staging

·         Linux/Solaris client level configuration for backups

·         Vmware guest level and image level backup

·         Firewall and VPN administration for backup

·         Exchange, SQL, Oracle, SharePoint configuration for backup

·         EMC Networker Setup and Configuration in a multi datazone environment

·         DPA installation and administration

·         Cloning for Disaster Recovery

·         Knowledgeable of Industry best practices relating to complex backup environments.
