You’ll work with the Localization Manager, German-speaking customers and partners, as well as external translators and editors to build and improve German translations, terminology database, style guide, translation memories, and overall German localization processes. You wil need an an eagle eye for detail - especially where language, grammar, and spelling are concerned. Knowledge of the latest translation tools is a must. Creativity and flexible thinking are also important, as you’ll be developing a new terminology domain in German for inbound marketing.
Responsibilities
Be the primary point of contact for linguistic decisions related to German content
Ensure that terminology and style is relevant and appropriate for the target personas in the German- speaking market, both in terms of culture and technology adoption / market maturity
Lead the development of our terminology database and style guide for German, incorporating feedback from internal German speakers at HubSpot as well as German-speaking customers and partners and other linguistic sources
Ensure that our translation memory files for German are clean and updated
Work with the product team to ensure that German -speaking customers have a remarkable experience using the localized version of the product in German
Review translated content from agencies and partners
Translate English content into German as needed
Support the localization team with selection of relevant tools and technology
