Role:

The ideal candidate has a broad understanding of the development of mobile robotics platforms or similar technologies. Someone who gets excited about cloud computing and creating high quality frameworks. A self-starter who can architect and implement complex systems with a high degree of autonomy. Equally important is the ability to be a team-player capable of iterating creatively with a focus on successful execution and the anticipation of customers’ needs. 

Key responsibilities:

- Develop the server-side infrastructure to support an extensible robot engine
- Develop applications that address needs in analytics and robot fleet management 
- Know & follow software engineering processes and best practices 
- Manage quality assurance, including system integration, simulation and testing 
- Support operations and field engineers in the test and development environments

Your Profile:

- 5++ years professional experience developing scalable cloud-based applications 
- PhD/MS in Robotics, Computer Science, Math, or other algorithmic-centric disciplines 
- Superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills; diligent & organized
- Expert level in JavaScript (Node.js), Python and secure software architecture 
- Proficient in developing databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) in a production environment 
- Previous experience in agile software development – e.g. SCRUM incl. CI/CD 
- Proficiency in front-end development (JavaScript/ES6, HTML5, CSS) beneficial 
- Experience setting up server monitoring systems like Nagios and PRTG beneficial 
- Fluent English required (oral and written); fluent German beneficial
